Liverpool preserved their six-point lead atop the Premier League table with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest in a gripping match at Anfield.
Forest, aiming for a historic seventh consecutive league victory—their first since 1922—made a dream start as Chris Wood clinically converted Anthony Elanga’s precise pass in the eighth minute to put the visitors ahead. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men looked well-organized defensively and appeared on course to secure a league double over Liverpool.
However, the game shifted dramatically in the 66th minute when Liverpool manager Arne Slot’s substitutions paid immediate dividends. Diogo Jota, introduced just seconds earlier alongside Kostas Tsimikas, headed home a Tsimikas corner to level the score.

Jota almost completed the comeback, testing Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels twice with powerful efforts, while Mohamed Salah saw a late strike heroically blocked on the line. Despite Liverpool’s dominance in the second half, Forest’s defense held firm to secure a valuable point.
