Liverpool lost to Bayern Munich 4-3 in a pre-season friendly game, but that wasn’t the biggest concern for the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Just before half time new signing Alexis Mac Allister was taken off the pitch in visible discomfort after a clash with Konrad Laimer.
After the match update was provided concerning Mac Allister’s condition and it seems it not as serious as it first looked.
“Yeah, knee on knee. He could have played on,”Klopp said at his post-match press conference.

But the German preferred to sub him off in order to preserve it for the upcoming campaign, which starts in 10 days time.
“So firstly I got the information that it’s too painful, so that was then clear that we will change. There’s no need to push him through.”” Klopp added.
“When I spoke afterwards, he said, “No, no, I would have been fine.” But we didn’t want to go [with] any risks. It’s just knee on knee, bruise, that’s it. It was fine.”
