Justin Fields will likely be sidelined for at least one game, Bears’ head-coach Matt Eberflus announced on Monday.

Fields sustained the injury during the 19-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Rookie Tyson Bagent will likely step in to fill in the void.
Fields got hurt on Chicago’s first possession of the third quarter against Minnesota. He landed awkwardly on his hand trying to throw the ball away while getting sacked by Danielle Hunter. The Bears punted on the next play, and Fields headed to the locker room.
The 24-year-old underwent an MRI, but the X-Ray showed no fractures. Still, Eberflus could not give a timetable for the recovery.
“It’s really going to come down to grip strength,” Eberflus said. “There’s natural swelling that occurs with this injury. We really should know more at the end of the week.”
Whether Fields needs a surgery is still unknown.
