The 22-year-old will not be present at Charlotte's practice sessions
Kai Jones will miss the upcoming Hornets’ training camp next week due to ‘personal reasons’.
“There is not currently a timetable for his return to the team,” a released statement from the team read. “Out of respect for the personal nature of the situation, the Hornets will not have any additional public comments regarding the matter at this time.”
The 22-year-old is Hornets’ 2021 first-round draft pick, coming out of Texas and has managed to averaged 2.7 in his two seasons with Charlotte.
Head-coach Steve Clifford revealed that Jones has not been participating in the team’s voluntary workouts, but refused to elaborate due to the personal nature of the matter.
