The Briton was the much classier player and established an early edge in the first set, when she broke her opponent.
Then she went on to clinch the set on her server.
The second set was foregone conclusion as the 27-year-old Boulter dominated her opponent and swept her 6-0.
Victory means Boulter rises up to No.61 in the world.
“I’ve started everyone off really well and hopefully everyone can go out and do their best today,” she said.
“It was all tight in the first set, I tried to stay with her and feel the court a little bit,”
“But in the second set I played some great tennis and I’m pleased to get into the second round.”
Boulter will face either seventh seed Caroline Garcia or China’s Wang Yafan in the second round.
