Roy Keane still doesn’t believe that Michael Carrick is the right choice to lead the Red Devils back to their past glory, despite his impressive results during his interim spell.
Keane shared his doubts after it became clear that Manchester United will finish 3rd in the EPL and the directors most likely will promote Carrick as the next permanent head coach of the club.
After the Red Devils’ 3-2 triumph against Nottingham, Roy shared what are the next challenges in front of Carrick after he guided the team from Old Trafford to the UCL qualification.
“I believe Carrick did his job as his task most likely was to secure Champions League football for Man United, and he did that. Michael is winning football games, but I still see huge problems at the club. Very huge problems,” Keane shared.
Roy added that giving the permanent job to Carrick at the moment is the safest option for the Red Devils, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
