Phoenix Suns and U.S. national team star Kevin Durant is poised to become a minority shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), as reported by L’Equipe.
Durant, a known fan of PSG, is expected to purchase a stake in the Parisian club for several million euros. His connection with PSG runs deep, as he shares a strong friendship with the club’s owner, Nasser Al-Khelaifi. On August 6, Durant visited PSG’s campus, further solidifying his ties with the team.

Durant recently made history as the first athlete to win four Olympic gold medals in team sports. He achieved this milestone on August 10, when the U.S. defeated France 98-87 in the final of the Paris Olympics, adding to his previous gold medal victories in London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2021.

Back in December 2023, American investment firm Arctos Partners bought a 12.5% stake in the club. According to a source close to QSI, PSG’s total valuation was set at €4.25bn at the end of last yeat. This means Arctos invested around €530m for its minority stake in PSG.
