Domantas Sabonis had 24 points and 21 rebounds; De’Aron Fox added 21 points, six rebounds and five assists to his tally to help his team overwhelm a strong Brooklyn opposition.
Ever since moving to Sacramento, the Kings haven’t had a good run of fortune, as they ended up with losing record in all 29 seasons, but are looking to overturn their luck this time around with head-coach’ Mike Brown first season at the wheel.
Sacramento fended off Brooklyn’s surge with a defensive masterclass, which manager Brown described as one of the best he had seen all season.
“And to see that again in this situation, a back-to-back, was really, really encouraging,” Brown said after the game, “because we’re going to have to win games like this come playoff time.”
Mikal Bridges had 23 points for the Nets; Spencer Dinwiddie added another 18, while Nic Claxton score 14 and had 14 rebounds.
“They were just playing harder and getting stops and they were just scoring, getting to the line,” Bridges said.
“But yeah, they just played harder than us.”
Next on the line for the Kings is a trip to Washington on Saturday, while Nets host Denvers on Sunday.
