Jürgen Klinsmann has admitted that he has his own fault as manager for Republic Korea’s Asian Cup ½ final defeat against Jordan but added that he doesn’t think about giving up the job.
The ex-Germany and USA boss claimed that he was dissatisfied after the Taeguk Warriors were eliminated after the 2-0 loss vs. Jordan in Qatar. However, he added that their opponent was the better team.
“A manager is always responsible for how a tournament ends for a team, without a doubt. Our goal was to play for the trophy, but we didn’t reach it,” Klinsmann shared after the elimination.
“You have to make a piece with it; you accept the result like this. It happens because our opponent deserves that result.”
The media asked him if he thought about giving up his post after the humiliating result, but the German manager shared that he didn’t plan to do anything.
Klinsmann on whether he could step down: “I’m not planning to do anything. I’m planning to analyze this tournament, go back to Korea and talk with the federation on what was good, what wasn’t so good. There was a lot of good stuff we saw. This is a team growing.” #AsianCup2023 https://t.co/UqXP9A21T1
