The Argentinian midfielder (24) sustained the problem in his knee at the beginning of the match of his team’s 2-0 victory against Sheffield United two days ago. However, Alexis remained on the pitch despite his discomfort before being replaced at the beginning of the 2nd half.
“Mac Allister doesn’t look good, so we will have to wait to know more,” claimed Klopp ahead of Saturday’s clash against Crystal Palace in London tomorrow.
“They were optimistic after the match that it was not serious. It’s not a huge problem, but if you are out for 5 days in that time of the season, you could miss 3 matches easily.”
Jurgen added that the Argentinian will be sidelined for tomorrow’s game in London, but there is a chance that we will see Alexis back on the pitch next week.
