NY Knicks player Bojan Bogdanovic will miss the rest of the campaign because of a left foot procedure, the franchise shared today.
Bojan, who turned 35 a few days ago, had already been dealing with a wrist problem before he sustained a foot injury almost immediately after entering past weekend’s Game 4 victory against the 76ers for the 1st time at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. The Serbian got tied up with Philadelphia’s player Nicolas Batum while both were chasing a loose ball, and Bojan immediately went to the ground, visible in pain.
Bogdanovic slowly limped off the court and was ruled out minutes later.
The Serbian forward was acquired from the Pistons at the trade deadline, alongside Alec Burks, to bolster the Knicks’ depth for the stretch run, and he has played a reserve role for New York throughout the 1st 4 matches of this matchup.
Bogdanovic notched important 3-pointers in the 4th quarter of the Knicks’ Game 1 win in the Big Apple.
The Serbian has a 19 million dollar salary for the next campaign that features 2 million dollars guaranteed. It becomes fully guaranteed if the Serbian remains with the Knicks on June 28th.
With the surgery today & summer trade season ahead, Bojan Bogdanovic has probably played his last game as a Knick.
