Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany shared Benfica head coach José Mourinho made a “huge mistake” in his post-match comments after alleged racist abuse of Los Blancos star Vini Jr.
After the game, Jose said that “something always happens” in games where the Brazilian forward of Real Madrid plays.
Ex-Man City defender and Burnley manager Kompany discussed this as he defended Vini, claiming that suffering racism can’t be faked.
“For me, I’m even more disappointed by what happened after the match,” Vincent revealed. After the match, you have the leader of Benfica, José Mourinho, who basically attacks the character of Vini, by bringing in the type of celebration to discredit what is happening to the Brazilian in this moment.”
“I believe that’s a huge mistake, as someone like Mourinho can’t accept such behavior. I firmly stand on this thing.”
The Brazilian Football Confederation shared its support for Vinicius and demanded that the football organizations do everything possible to punish anyone who is guilty of racially abusing Vinicius.
