Vini Jr’s disappointment at being substituted during the 2-1 El Clásico victory against Barca drew a rather unpleasant reaction from the forward, which was a topic after the match. However, his ex-teammate Toni Kroos thinks “nobody can judge or imagine” the emotions the Brazilian felt in this moment, although he advised him to keep it to himself more next time.
On his podcast, Kroos shared this about the episode where Vinicius was even called, saying that he would leave Los Blancos and stormed to the tunnel before returning moments later to the bench:
“When you are part of such kind of a game, you can’t be happy to be substituted. I never like that feeling either. But I never did what Vinicius did to go straight to the dressing room. It is very easy to judge from the outside, but you can’t imagine what goes through your head at that moment.”
Kroos added that the Brazilian star must keep his anger to himself in the future, as it doesn’t look good, and you should never take things so seriously; managers also don’t usually do it.
