As a result, Spann (21-7 MMA, 7-2 UFC) is left without an opponent, and the middleweight bout between Andre Muniz and Brenan Allen has been elevated to the new main event.
Krylov showed up at the UFC Apex – where the event is being held – but was ruled unable to compete.
He was looking for his third win in a row. Last year, he finished former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson in the first round, followed by a unanimous decision win over Volkan Oezdemir.
