Lakers secure dramatic overtime 127-125 win vs. the Nuggets

In a game in which every basketballer on the Los Angeles Lakers made a big play to lift them to a 127-125 OT triumph against the Denver Nuggets, perhaps none was as crucial as Austin Reaves’ missed shot.

He intentionally missed a shot from the throw line with less than 6 seconds left of the regular time.

Austin grabbed the rebound after his missed shot and scored to even the result 118-118 with less than 2 seconds on the clock.

“I missed on purpose,” Austin revealed, who led Los Angeles with 32 points, scoring at least 30 for a 3^rd consecutive match.

“Reaves did phenomenally to allow us to force overtime,” Luka shared. “That was phenomenal.”

And Doncic did his part for the victory as the Slovenian was crucial during overtime when the result was even, he notched an 18-foot step-back, fadeaway jump shot with 0.5 remaining for the triumph. Then, on the Nuggets’ possession, Doncic blocked ex-teammate Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 3-pointer.
