Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic has been cleared to return to play just two days after suffering a right knee injury scare while playing for Slovenia.
The incident occurred on Saturday against Latvia, when a teammate was pushed to the floor and crashed into Doncic’s legs under the basket. The 26-year-old initially looked in serious pain and left the court with a limp, but later rejoined his teammates on the bench.

Medical checks have since confirmed no major damage, allowing Doncic to resume preparations with Slovenia ahead of EuroBasket. The national team is scheduled to play Great Britain in a warm-up match on Tuesday.
Doncic, who joined the Lakers in a blockbuster February trade from the Dallas Mavericks, signed a three-year, $165 million extension earlier this month. He averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 28 games for Los Angeles last season, continuing the elite form that has defined his career. Over seven NBA seasons, Doncic holds averages of 28.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists across 450 appearances.
