Despite not reaching Game 7, the Eastern Conference semi-final attracted huge attention
The Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors semi-final has reached a record-breaking viewership, according to NBA Communications.
The clash was filled with high-profile names such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis etc. and therefore, it is no surprise it attracted huge audiences across all the world.
Being broadcast on ESPN, TNT and ABC it became the most watched semi-final in almost thirty years with an average 7.8 million viewers across all 6 games.
On top of that Game 6 became the most viewed game since 2011 with an average of 8.64 million views, peaking at 9.295. Lakers won it 122-101 and progressed to the finals, where they will face the Nuggets.
