Gregg Popovich has just signed a five-year contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs and LeBron James was quick to congratulate the experienced coach.
James, who has spent time with Popovich with USA Basketball, has offered plenty of praise for the longtime San Antonio coach, and he took to Twitter to show his admiration.
Popovich has been part of San Antonio for most of his career, barring a two-year spell from 1992 to 1994, when he was an assistant at the Warriors.

The 74-year-old became the Spurs’ head coach in 1996-97 and has posted 64.2% regular-season win percentage with 1,366 career wins, along with a 170-114 record in the postseason.
He has led San Antonio to 5 NBA championship and has been awarded with Coach of the year on three occasions (2003, 2012 and 2014).
