LeBron James understood his record streak of double-digit scoring efforts was in trouble. And he didn’t care at all.

The right play was for him to pass the ball, and James did exactly that. And with that decision, his streak came to an end.
LeBron’s run of 1,297 straight double-digit regular-campaign scoring efforts finished tonight, when the league’s career points leader was held to 8 points in the LA Lakers’ 123-120 victory against the Raptors. James had the match-winning assist, as Rui Hachimura scored a 3-pointer as time expired.
After the game, reporters asked him what he thought about the end of his streak.
“I don’t care,” shared LeBron. “We secured the victory.”
He could have tried to win the match and continue his streak on the final play in the game, but he instead passed to Rui in the left corner. The Japanese player scored, and James was very happy about the win.
The Lakers and NBA superstar streak began back on January 6th, 2007. It was, by far, the longest such run in league history. Michael Jordan did it for 866 straight matches.
