Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham expressed hope that the team’s star LeBron James will return to action before the end of the regular season.
James, 38, who earlier this season topped the league’s all-time scoring list, has been sidelined for three weeks with an Achilles tendon problem.
“We expect LeBron to be back on the court at some point this season,” Hamm said before the Lakers’ 111-105 win over the Orlando Magic.
According to ESPN, James will be evaluated by the Lakers’ medical staff this week, most likely on Thursday. In recent days, he has removed the splint from his leg and can even be seen in the team’s training room. Los Angeles Lakers are in tenth place in the standings with 35 wins and 37 losses, the same as the ninth-place Minnesota Timberwolves.
