Charles Leclerc has expressed his full faith in new Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur, despite their sluggish start to the 2023 season.
The Frenchman took charge of the Italian team after Mattia Binotto left the Scuderia last year.
However, it has been a difficult start for the 54-year-old with the team bagging only 78 point from the opening 5 races and sitting 4th in the Constructors Standings, having had arguably the best car pace wise in 2022.
But star driver Leclerc has given his full backing of new team boss, stating that the Frenchman is certainly the right man for the job and he is putting everything in place to bring back the glory days for the Scuderia.
“Well, I think he’s just starting this process now,” said Leclerc. “Until now he was basically trying to analyse the situation as quickly as possible in order to do the best changes possible for the future.” Leclerc said.
“So yeah, I think the big part of the job will be done from now on – so we will see. Obviously, I speak a lot with Fréd and I know what are his middle and long term plans for the team, and I’m completely behind him and I trust him fully.”
