The striker is still recovering from ankle sprain

Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski could return to action for the derby against Real Madrid on Saturday, October 28.

The Polish striker is still not fully recovered from his second degree ankle sprain, but is likely to be fit for El Clasico, but will have to take painkillers.

The player is feeling better and while the expectation was that he would not play against Real Madrid, the Polish goal machine could be at Xavi’s disposal.

The former Bayern player will be tested the day before the match. If his ankle responds well, he will be included in the squad, with him expected to be a substitute against Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Before the big clash Real Madrid is leading the standings with 25 points – just one above Barcelona.
