Damian Lillard scored 45 points and had 11 assists to help the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Detroit Pistons 141-135 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points, 10 boards, and 9 assists – 1 assist shy of a triple-double, but the Greek missed 11 of his 22 free throws. Brook Lopez added 19 points for Milwaukee, who have triumphed in 4 of their last 5 matches in the NBA.

Alec Burks scored 33 points, and Ausur Thompson had a career-high 22 points for Pistons’ 2nd unit, but Bojan Bogdanovic with 19 points and  Jaden Ivey with 18 points were the only starters to notch at least 10 points in the opener of a 2-match series.

Detroit is 2-37 in their last 39 matches, including a record-tying 28-match losing streak. They will play again vs. the Bucks on Monday at Little Caesars Arena.
