Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs sustained a hamstring problem at practice yesterday night.
The running back was being evaluated for a leg problem after leaving the training early, though it was unknown on which play he sustained the problem.
Jahmyr (22) is coming off a Pro Bowl rookie campaign in which he rushed for 945 yards and 10 TDs to go along with 316 receiving yards and a receiving TD.
Gibbs was picked as a finalist for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year after having a crucial role in the Lions’ run to the NFC Championship Game.
The RB shared with the media at the beginning of August that he has an aim of becoming the 4th footballers in the league history to record 1,000 yards receiving and 1,000 yards rushing in the same campaign, as only Christian McCaffrey, Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig did that in the past.
Gibbs claimed that he wants to be in that category of players in the NFL and will work hard to accomplish it.
Rough day for injuries at #Lions practice today:
Jahmyr Gibbs is being evaluated for a leg injury.
