Lions send RB D’Andre Swift to Eagles

Detroit Lions added in the 2023 NFL Draft the RB Detroit Lions with the 12^th pick on Thursday. As a result, Lions decided to trade the running back D’Andre Swift, and Philadelphia Eagles acquired him.

Detroit will get a 2025 4th-round pick for him, and the 2 franchises will change 7^th-round picks this year in the deal for Swift.

D’Andre (24) joined Detroit from Georgia after being selected in the 2^nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. However, traumas had been part of his career so far in his 3 seasons with the Lions. Swift took part in 40 out of 50 potential matches for the franchise but began from the 1^st minute in only 16 of them.

Last season Swift started only 8 games as he had ankle and shoulder problems during the season.
