Liverpool defeat West Ham 3-1 at Anfield

Liverpool won against West Ham United 3-1 at Anfield and won their 4^th straight match in Premier League. The Hammers won their previous 3 games in the league before losing against the Reds.

Liverpool scored the 1^st goal after Mohamed Salah converted a penalty in the 16^th minute. However, West Ham didn’t give up and tied the match right before the end of the 1^st half as Jarrod Bowen headed the ball into the Reds net in the 42^nd minute after a great cross from Vladimir Coufal, leaving Alisson helpless.

Curtis Jones scored in the final minute of the 1st half, but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Darwin Nunez netted the 2^nd goal in the match to give the lead to the Reds in the 60^th minute after Alexis Mac Allister’s assist.

Diogo Jota secured the 3 points for Klopp’s side with his goal in the 85^th minute, making his team lead 2 goals after Virgil van Dijk’s assist.

Liverpool is in 2^nd place with 16 points from 6 games – 5 victories and 1 draw, while West Ham is in 7^th place with 10 points from 6 matches.
