Liverpool are monitoring the situation around Ansu Fati, who is on loan at Brighton. The winger is owned by Barcelona, but he was not getting the playing time he wanted there and opted for a Premier League transfer this year.
The 21-year-old plays on the left wing where Jurgen Klopp has Luis Diaz, but the impending parting time of Mohamed Salah is sure to cause internal rotations and it would not be a surprise if he sends the Colombian on the right.
Klopp also has Cody Gakpo, as a man with similar functions, and Darwin Nunes often moves to the wings to look for spaces. Yet for a team with Liverpool’s ambitions, it seems more than certain that the bench will not remain half-empty.
Ansu Fati is currently valued at around €35 million, but Barcelona are unlikely to agree to sell him for less than €50 million.
