Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in a match from the FA Cup Round of 32 played at the Emirates Stadium. Both teams hit the woodwork three times in total – once for the Gunners and twice for the away side.
In the 12th minute, luck was not on Arsenal’s side when Martin Odegaard took the ball into the penalty area and unleashed a shot, which unfortunately met the crossbar of Alisson Becker’s goal.
Liverpool leveled the woodwork statistics in the 45th minute. Trent Alexander-Arnold received a fantastic pass, shot from the edge of the penalty area, but rattled the crossbar of Ramsdale’s goal.
In the 81st minute, Liverpool’s pressure paid off, and the Reds took the lead. Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a precise cross from a free-kick to the right of Ramsdale’s goal, and in his attempt to clear the ball, Yacoub Kiwior scored an own goal for 1-0.
Deep into added time, the visitors secured a second goal. After a rapid counter-attack, Diogo Jota set up Luis Diaz in a good position, and the Colombian shot into the upper left corner, sealing a final 2-0 victory for Liverpool.
