The second level of the Anfield Road Stand at Liverpool Stadium will be partially open for the big English derby against Manchester United on December 17th.
Around 3,000 people are expected to be seated at the sector that was supposed to be open at the start of the season.
Due to the Buckingham Group going into administration in the summer, the completion of the second floor of the stand was put on hold, causing serious financial damage to the Reds. When the renovation gets the necessary security licenses, the capacity of Anfield will increase to 61 thousand people during a match.

Otherwise, in order to obtain this license a public event has to be held, which is required by Liverpool City Council to confirm the additional home venues for the matches with Man United, West Ham United, Arsenal and Newcastle United.
