The Reds centre-back Ibrahima Konate has been forced to withdraw from his nation’s squad because of a hamstring problem.
The defender sustained the injury in the warm-up ahead of the club’s 3-2 loss to Toulouse in the European League in the past week and also missed Liverpool’s win against Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.
Les Bleus announced that the Reds defender has withdrawn from the selection, as Axel Disasi from Chelsea will take his place in the team.
“Victim of a small muscle problem to his left hamstring with the Reds in the Europa League on Thursday in Toulouse during the warm-up, Ibrahima Konate was not part of his side’s squad on Sunday,” a France statement features,
“His problem requires approximately 2 weeks of treatment, Didier Deschamps, after consulting with the team’s doctor, shared, as the defender will be unable to play during the international break.”
