Luis Diaz left devastated after disallowed goals against Spurs

Luis Diaz has shared his thoughts on the referee’s decision to disallow his goal against Tottenham Hotspur due to miscommunication between video and on-field referees during last weekend’s game.

The incident has cause major outburst in the footballing world, but so far, Diaz has remained silent on the matter.

Now he has spoken out for the first time, stating the decision ‘hit him hard’ in an interview with Colombian television.

“The goal issue was a bit complicated. At the time it hit me very hard, but not only to me, but to all my team-mates.” Diaz said.

“In the middle of the game we talked about it a lot, it (would have been) a positive result that was going to help us.”

“These are things that happen, the referees are human. You have to take it easy and for the next one it will be.”

The decision eventually proved costly as it denied Liverpool taking the lead with Tottenham making full use of it and snatching the victory right at the end.
