Slovenian's shooting looked a little rusty after long time on the sidelines, but still scored 14 points

Luka Doncic had a solid first outing in a Lakers uniform, contributing 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists as Los Angeles cruised past the Utah Jazz 132-113 on Monday night.

LeBron James led the way with 24 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, while Austin Reaves added 22 points, helping the Lakers secure their sixth consecutive win.

Doncic, who arrived in a blockbuster trade from the Dallas Mavericks on February 2, played his first game since suffering a calf strain on Christmas. Limited to just under 24 minutes as a precaution, the Slovenian star didn’t need to push himself, as the Lakers dominated throughout. With the game well in hand, Doncic sat out the entire fourth quarter but still made an impact, showing flashes of his signature playmaking ability.

Fueled by their newest addition, the Lakers had seven players score in double figures, shot an impressive 54.3% from the field, and led by as many as 34 points.

Lauri Markkanen and John Collins each scored 17 points for Utah, which has now lost nine straight road games. Doncic wasted no time making his presence felt, delivering a slick alley-oop pass to Jaxson Hayes just 50 seconds into the game and later launching a pinpoint three-quarter court assist to James for a layup in the final minute of the first half.

With the win, the Lakers continue their red-hot stretch, securing their 12th victory in the last 14 games.
