In a Wednesday night defeat to New Orleans Pelicans, the Dallas Mavericks were struck with injury scare as their starman Luka Doncic pulled off the playing ground in the second half and did not return for the remainder of the game.
Reports indicate that a left thigh strain is the cause for his premature exit.
After the game, when asked by ESPN reporter, Doncic replied that he was not feeling good and said he was intending to undergo a MRI to his left thigh.
The 24-year-old played for 28 minutes, before being taken off. He scored 15 points, eight assists and three rebounds, but was inconsistant with his shots, shooting only 4-of-14 from the field and 1-of-5 from three-point territory.
Doncic has suffered plenty of injuries lately, with the superstar pointing out that he is just trying to keep going after the game against the Suns over the weekend.
The Dallas team face the Grizzlies on 11 March and by then, they will be hoping to hear positive news about Donic’ condition.
