After time has passed after his outbreak at the officials during the end of the past weekend and his postmatch interaction with Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, Kansas City QB claims he regrets what he did.
Patrick was hot-headed Sunday after an offside call on his teammate Kadarius Toney negated what would have been the go-ahead TD with only over a minute remaining until the end of the game. Toney took a cross-field lateral from Travis Kelce, who caught Mahomes’ pass and finished what would have been a 49-yard TD.
After the episode, the Chiefs’ quarterback proceeded to throw incomplete on 3 consecutive plays, and Buffalo received the ball back and ran out the clock to triumph 20-17.
“You don’t want to show this kind of emotions that way,” Mahomes admitted about his outburst.
Patrick Mahomes to @cdotharrison today: “I regret the way I acted towards Josh (Allen) after the game. Because he had nothing to do with it. I was still hot and emotional, but you can’t do that. It’s not a great example for kids watching the game.”pic.twitter.com/x6ABtCBob1 https://t.co/ldRgtl7Oez
