Manchester City saved themselves with a goal in the 98th minute.

Manchester City and Arsenal drew 2-2 at Etihad as the Gunners played with 10 men in the 2nd half and were seconds away from winning the match, but John Stones netted in the 98th minute.

The 1st half between Manchester City and Arsenal was an epic show. In the 9th minute, Savinho assisted Erling Haaland, who entered the penalty area with the ball and left no chance for David Raya to save his shot.

However, in the 21st minute, Rodri suffered an injury and was forced to leave the pitch as Mateo Kovacic entered in his place. Only a minute later, the Gunners tied the result after a phenomenal goal from Riccardo Calafiori with a shot outside the penalty area as that was his 1st goal in the Premier League in his 1st match as a starter.

In the extra time of the 1st half, Saka assisted Gabriel from a corner as the defender beat Kyle Walker and headed the ball into Ederson’s net to secure the lead for the visiting team.

However, there was time for more drama in the extra time of the 1st 45 minutes as Leandro Trossard received his 2nd yellow card for shooting the ball after the referee signal and left Arsenal with 10 men on the pitch.

Arsenal were perfect until the 98th minute when John Stones scored to even the result and to shock the Gunners that they thought that they would win the match.
