The Sky Blues beat the Magpies 3-2 at St. James' Park.

Manchester City won against Newcastle 3-2 at St. James’ Park as the winning goal for the Sky Blues was scored by Oscar Bobb in the extra time after Kevin De Bruyne’s assist.

Bernardo Silva netted the 1st goal in the match in the 26th minute to give the lead to Guardiola’s side, but the Magpies made a comeback and had a 2-1 lead at halftime after 2 goals within 2 minutes from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.

However, Manchester City dominated in the 2nd half, but the Sky Blues needed its superstar Kevin De Bruyne, who returned after a long absence from the Premier League in the 69th minute, and only 5 minutes later, the Belgium midfielder scored to tie the match 2-2.

In the additional time, De Bruyne gave a phenomenal pass to youngster Bobb, who beat Newcastle’s goalkeeper and scored to complete the comeback, and Giardiola’s side left St. James’ Park with the 3 points.

Manchester City are in 2nd place with 43 points after 20 matches – 2 points behind the leader Liverpool.

Newcastle are in 10th place with 29 points after 20 games as the Magpies lost 4th consecutive match in the league.
