Goalkeeper Andre Onana will be available for Erik ten Hag very soon, according to the Dutch manager of the Red Devils.
The goalkeeper participated in the African Cup of Nations as part of the Cameroon national team. The Lions were eliminated in the round of 16, losing 0-2 to Nigeria.
“Andre will return to us on Thursday. Perhaps now, finally, I will be able to choose a lineup from our strongest players,” said Ten Hag to the club’s website.
In the Africa Cup, Onana played in only one match against Senegal (1-3) in the group stage of the tournament. He missed the first game of his team against Guinea, finished 1-1 and was benched for the next two matches against Gambia and Nigeria.
Onana didn’t perform at his best against Senegal and added another unconvincing performance under his name this season as he is already getting a lot of criticism in England for his mistakes that cost United points in the first half of the season.
