Manchester City won the 2023 UEFA Super Cup after penalties 5-4 as the regular time ended 1-1 and according to the tournament rules, a shootout began.
Pep Guardiola’s side won that trophy for the 1st time in its history after triumphing with Treble in the past campaign.

Seville scored the only goal in the 1st half when Youssef En Nesyri netted a perfect Marcos Acuna pass.
At the beginning of the 2nd half, the Spanish side have several chances to score a 2nd goal but missed them, and the man in form in the Manchester City squad Cole Palmer scored a header in the 63rd minute after Rodri’s assist to tie the match.
Until the end of the regular time, both teams had chances but didn’t convert them, and the trophy was decided after a shootout.
The first 9 penalties were scored successfully when Nemanja Gudelj needed to score to tie 5-5 and force extra penalties but he missed after his shot hit the top bar.
