The team from Old Trafford announced that the supporters can’t expect huge transfers in the upcoming month because of the Financial Fair Play.
The Toffees were docked 10 points in the past month for breaching the EPL’s financial rules, while the Red Devils were hit with almost 300,000 dollars fine during the summer for a “minor breach” of the rules.
The Red Devils’ Chief Operating Officer Collette Roche claimed the team would have to be “really disciplined” regarding transfers.
“We are not expecting the upcoming winter transfer window to be particularly busy,” the COO admitted in a forum with the club’s supporters.
“There are always opportunities to make transfers, particularly in terms of finding chances for footballers who are not playing as much football as they would like.”
Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho will likely leave Man United in January.
Manchester United will focus on shifting players out rather than bringing them in this January, amid fears of punishment if FFP rules are broken.
