Manchester United are seriously considering sacking manager Erik ten Hag after a lackluster start to the season. The Red Devils sit 8th in the Premier League, have won just one of their first three Champions League games and crashed out of the League Cup last night after a heavy 3-0 defeat by Newcastle at Old Trafford.
Although he is under contract until 2025 and faces a £15m release compensation if he is released early, Ten Haag cannot be feeling comfortable about his position.
According to “The Times”, the future of the Dutch specialist is unclear, and one of the reasons is the possible change of ownership of the club. The publication also states that if it comes to parting with Ten Hag, he could be replaced by Zinedine Zidane or Ruben Amorim.
Zidane has been free since leaving Real Madrid and has recently been linked with a third spell in charge of the club while Ruben Amorim is doing very well at the head of Sporting (Lisbon).
