The 28-year-old is keen to leave Spurs and can be bought for 17 million pounds.
Talks are continuing about payment terms, but both teams expect the transfer to be successful.
Pierre-Emile joined the North London club 4 years ago in a 15 million pound transfer from the Saints, when Jose Mourinho was the head coach. He played 39 matches for Tottenham in the past campaign but only 10 of those were from the 1st minute on the pitch as manager Ange Postecoglou preferred Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr over him.
Hojbjerg has begun the final season of his deal with Spurs and can leave for free next summer if he doesn’t sign an extension, but that is not likely, and the North London team is willing to sell him now.
Tottenham have strengthened their midfield in the current transfer window with the transfer of Archie Gray from Leeds, while Lucas Bergvall has signed from the Swedish team Djurgardens.
