Мarseille – Lyon derby postponed after clashes

The 10th round Ligue 1 derby between Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon has been officially postponed following the scenes that preceded the match.

The information was written on the board of “Stade Velodrome” minutes before the scheduled kick-off time.

Before the start of the match, OM ultras threw stones at several buses – the one with the Lyon players, as well as three with fans.

Fabio Grosso, the head coach of the away side, was seriously injured, as well as one of his assistants. He had get medical help after suffering a hit to the forehead and although he seem ready to lead his team, both teams and league officials decided to postpone the game.
