The 21-year-old was presented at the Coliseum Stadium alongside Getafe’s other summer signings.
The move has spurred debates after the club backed up the new phenomenon ‘MasonMania’ and some of its critics have labelled it “tone deaf”.
Greenwood expressed his delight to play for the club and promised to give his all.
“We take [it] one game at a time. I know the next home game is coming up soon. We are going to try and win it and do our best.” the 21-year-old said.
Greenwood, once capped by England, joined the Spanish top-flight side last week on a season-long loan. Last month, United revealed the player would leave by mutual agreement after an internal investigation lasting just over six months.
