Dallas Mavericks were victorious despite the absence of key players Luka Doncic Kyrie Irving

Dallas Mavericks were able to take advantage of late mistakes and break San Antonio Spurs’ resistance to win 137-128 in overtime on Wednesday night.

Chris Wood scored 27 points and had 13 assists for the Mavericks. Dwight Powell and Jaden Hardy had 22 points each and Green added 21 points for the Dallas team.

The team from Dallas was able to tie the scoring at 121 with only 1.8 seconds remaining as Keldon Johnson scored from an inbounds pass from Malaki Branham.

The Mavericks were ruthless in overtime as the opened a 13-0 lead early on, which would prove insurmountable for Spurs.

Keldon Johnson scored 27 for the San Antonio team, as Malaki Branham had 20 points and Romeo Langford had 17.

“They did a great job,” San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said.

“A lot of guys got minutes. Combinations were a little strange probably, but their competitiveness and execution here and there were great. Really proud of them. They deserve to enjoy their evening.”

Dallas visit Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, while San Antonio host Memphis on Friday night.
