The problem could keep the basketballers away from the court for the remainder of the Mavericks’ postseason run.
Mavs will play against the top-seeded OKC in the Western Conference ½ finals matchup that starts Tuesday.
Maxi, who missed most of the 1st half of the campaign with a dislocated toe, is a crucial defender who provides his team with lineup versatility. Kleber shot 10-of-18 from the 3-point line in the Dallas’ 1st-round matchup victory against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He sustained the problem on a gruesome fall early in the 2nd-quarter of Friday’s Game 6 win against Clippers. Kleber landed on the shoulder after being fouled by Los Angeles player Amir Coffey on a fast-break layup attempt.
Maxi, a crucial role player during the Mavericks’ run to the 2022 Western Conference finals, shot his free throws after sustaining the problem but swiftly left the match after that.
