The French superstar, who is expected to sign with Real Madrid in a matter of hours after his deal with PSG expired, revealed a few months ago that he wants to play at the Olympic Games in his home country.
Thierry revealed today that the forward had not been allowed to play in Paris by his team.
“Los Blancos were really straightforward about the Olympics,” the France head coach claimed.
“I never received so many rejections since I was at the university. There have not even been discussions. You go, you ask, they decline, and that’s all.”
Thierry named the Eagles duo Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta in his squad, while the FCB’s Mathys Tel and PSG’s 18-year-old star Warren Zaïre-Emery are also part of his team for the upcoming Olympic Games.
Henry also named the experienced Alexandre Lacazette = who played 5 seasons with Arsenal.
