The French superstar was diagnosed with a knee ligament injury.

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly been diagnosed with a knee ligament problem, which is a huge headache for his team ahead of their return after the winter pause of LaLiga.

Kylian has been playing with discomfort in his knee for a few weeks, as everyone thought that the problem was nothing serious that would vanish swiftly. However, after the French superstar underwent an MRI scan yesterday, it was revealed that he has a knee ligament problem.

He will miss Real Madrid’s match at Valdebebas as Mbappe has appeared in almost every game since the beginning of the season and established himself as the key figure in the Royal club’s squad.

Real Madrid’s next game will be on Sunday at the Bernabeu against Betis. Xabi Alonso’s side must win this match if they want to continue to be competitive with Barcelona for the title, as the Catalan side is 4 points clear at the top of the table ahead of the resumption of the Spanish league from the international break. However, Los Blancos must find a way to win this match without Kylian Mbappe as it’s still unclear how long the French superstar will be sidelined.
