It looks like Michael Chandler’s patience with Conor McGregor is running out after the Irishman failed to meet USADA’s doping and banned substance testing deadline to arrange their fight this year.
McGregor has not been tested by USADA since the third quarter of 2021 and must undergo six months of random drug testing before being cleared to fight.
Chandler and McGregor were supposed to go head-to-head this year, but that looks increasingly unlikely given the former two-division world champion’s testing status. McGregor would have to re-enroll in the USADA program before June 16 to be eligible to headline the fight card on December 16 when the last pay-per view event is scheduled.
However, McGregor has not yet been added to USADA’s online database. Venting his anger at the situation, Chandler took to social media to deliver a stern message to his rival.
“Okay guys, you’ve all seen the news: Conor is not with USADA,” Chandler commented. “One hundred and seventy-nine days until December 16th, the last UFC night of the year. And comically, USADA shows up at my door today to add more salt to the wound. Where are you, boy?’, he said.
