McNeil’s goal secures Everton’s win vs. Nottingham

Everton won against Nottingham Forest 1-0 at City Ground as the only goal in the match was scored by Dwight McNeil in the 67^th minute as his shot left Forest’s goalkeeper without a chance to save it. The assist for the triumphing goal gave Jack Harrison.

That was McNeil’s 1^st goal this season for the Toffees, as he finished as the club’s leading goalscorer in the past campaign with 7 goals.

That was Everton’s 1^st victory after the Premier League deducted 10 points from them. Despite its 5 victories since the beginning of the campaign, the Toffees are currently in the relegation zone with 7 points after 14 matches but only 2 points behind 17^th Luton.

Nottingham is in 15^th place with 13 points after 14 clashes as Forest are in a series of 3 consecutive defeats in the Premier League.
