Everything started perfectly for Zverev as he triumphed in the 1st 2 sets to take a 2-0 lead, but in the 3rd and in the 4th set, both tennis players failed to convert a single break point, and both of the sets were decided after a tiebreak, and Medvedev won both of them.
Daniil Medvedev has now reached 6 Grand Slam Finals.
But for the first time, he won’t face Rafa Nadal or Novak Djokovic.

In the deciding set, Daniil converted 2 break point opportunities from 4 chances as he didn’t give a single break point opportunity to Zverev and won the 5th set for only 39 minutes. and with that and the match as that was the 2nd comeback from 2-0 sets behind for Daniil since the beginning of the tournament, he did the same in the 2nd round against Emil Ruusuvuori.
Gilles Cervara’s reaction after Daniil Medvedev beat Zverev is everything.
He points to his head.
Daniil points to his.
From 2 sets to 0 down.
2 points from going home.
He did it the hard way, but he did it.
Proud team, proud Med. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/nnNgUROgUe
